- Married Keziah Harker Abt 1722. Five year old Barnett come to the colonies with his foster parents about 1700, who settled in Hunterdon county, NJ. He married and lived with his family in NJ until 1742, at which time he relocated to Northampton, Pennsylvania. He had four daughter and five sons, including Jacob,founding father of Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania. With two brothers and two sister, John moved from Pennsylvania to Suffolk, Virgina. About 1761 he relocated toOrange County, North Carolina, and after the War of the Revolution he moved again, with most of his children, to Georgia. By 1919 most of the family recodedin this volume were residing in the Southern states, most notable Georgia, Florida, Alabama, and Texas.
