- She further states that the following is a full description of her said husband at the time of his enlistment, viz: about 21 years old, a farmer, born in Edgefield, 5 ft, 10 inches high, black hair & dark eyes. She further states that she was married to the said James Maynard in the county of Edgefield, and in the State of South Carolina, on the fifth Sunday of April A.D. 1815 by one William Spragings, who was a Justice of the Peace; and she further states that James Maynard was her second husband, & that John Clark, her first husband died in 1813 and that her said husband James Maynard, died at Edgefield, in the State of So. Carolina, on the 14th day of Febuary A.D. 1846
