Short and RichardWest, presented in court by David LeSeure (Sr.) and Daniel Weaver, two ofthe three executors named in the will, and proved by Wm. Short. Gave areceipt recorded September Court, 1750, Clerk of the Circuit Court,Cumberland Co, VA, Will Book No. 1, p.26, for 20 pounds 7 shillings and 6pence received Aug III Day MDCCL from Magdalen Guerrant, Exc. of PeterGuerrant, deceased, in full satisfaction of his demand of right of hiswife from the estate of Daniel Guerrant, deceased, and also his wife'sright to the estate of her two deceased children Daniel and PeterGuerrant, "being this day Settled and arbitrated by Thomas Turpin, JohnHarris and George Garrington." The receipt was witnessed by Jos. Beingleyand Jacob Trabue.
