27. LLEWELYN (son of No. 26). He lived during the troublous times ofLlewelyn the Great, and probably he was active on the side of the Welsh.Neither his name nor the names of his descendants appear in the historieswhich mention the names of only those Welsh chieftains who claimed theright to rule and who tried to enforce that right. There is no recordthat Llewelyn or his descendants made such claim though they were directdescendants of Cadwgan.
